# Set the Good-Enough Contract

## Purpose

Use this skill for one bounded self-reflection task. It is general wellness material, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency support, or a substitute for qualified professional care.

## Use when

- Quality is discretionary rather than governed by an exact mandatory standard.
- Fit-for-purpose criteria can be defined before more checking.

## Do not use when

- The work has a strict safety, compliance, accuracy, legal, financial, accessibility, or professional standard.
- A required acceptance criterion is still unmet.

## Procedure

1. State the purpose of the task.
2. Write up to three observable completion criteria.
3. Do one pass against those criteria.
4. Stop when they are met unless new evidence appears that changes the requirement.

## Response contract

Return: Purpose → Three completion criteria → Stop rule. Never lower a legitimate mandatory standard.

Keep the response concrete and proportionate. Do not infer a disorder from the user's wording. Do not remove genuine safety measures, protective boundaries, accessibility aids, medication instructions, professional requirements, or legal/compliance controls.
